    Content of Recollections, Retreat for Muslim Students reviewed

    Mr. Harip T. Esmael and Uza. Anisa Arab, Program Officers of the Campus Ministry Office spearheaded the content review of the recollections and retreat conducted for the Muslim students of Notre Dame University. The purpose of which is to have uniformity in inputs and activities. In the past, inputs given during recollections and retreat depended on the facilitator.

    Mr. Harip and Uza. Arab met with the Moslem facilitators for this school year, namely: Uza. Guihan L. Batiting, Uz. Mahmod S. Akmad both graduated in Egypt; Uz. Mokhalidin O. Alabat who graduated from Pakistan and also a graduate of NDU under the ATEP program; Uz. Parok A. Nor and Uz. Abu-Hurairah Edza both graduated in NDU under the the ATEP Program; and Prof. Hashim Manticayan and Prof. Hashim Iskak both from UP Manila.

    Their discussion resulted in the creation of modules for Recollection 1 (for first year students), Recollection 2 (for second year students), and retreat (for graduating students):

    a. Recollection 1: Purpose of Creation and the Significance of the World;

    b. Recollection 2: Love of Neighbors and Allah's Blessings;

    c. Retreat: Alkhilaafah-Vicegerency, Arrisaalah-(Prophethood) The Message, Women in Islam and Professionalism in Islam.

    The facilitators will likewise present to the students NDU's Vision and Mission and the university's Core Values.
