Notre Dame University participates in Dialogue Mindanaw: an OPPAP Project

Learning from the experience of Konsult Mindanaw project of the BUC, the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace Process (OPAPP) spearhead the conduct of Dialogue Mindanaw nationwide. The project aims to conduct national consultations in support of the drafting of an agreement between the Philippine Government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

Notre Dame University has been selected to participate in this project.

Twelve (12) Regional Reflective Dialogues will be conducted between February and March of this year with eight (8) in MIndanao, one each in Southern Palawan, Northern Luzon, Visayas and NCR/ Central/ Southern Luzon.

Notre Dame University will do the consultation in Central Mindanao. Major activities in this project involve: training of facilitators and documenters, conduct of consultation with 300 participants, documentations of proceedings , and writing the report.

The consultation will be done on February 25 at the NDU Gym.

Secretary Abaya of the OPAPP is the major proponent of this project. Dr. Ofelia Durante and Fr. Alberto Alejo, SJ in-charge of the Project Management Team, based in Davao.
