Admission for Undergraduate Program

 

The basic requirement for admission  to any tertiary level program, is graduation from any high school duly-recognized by the appropriate government body; the Department of Education (DepEd).

 


In compliance with the provisions of the DECS Order No. 28  s. 1994, all applicants (new freshmen and transferees) to any degree program in this institution are required to take the qualifying examination prepared and administered by the Guidance and Testing Center.  Generally, board courses require higher cut-off scores in the qualifying examination than non-board courses.  Applicants who could not meet the cut-off scores for any degree program are advised to go to her/his dean.

 


The other requirements for admission include submission of the following by the applicants:

For incoming first year:

  • Form 138-A (High School Card) - original copy and 2 photocopies
  • 3 pieces 2 x 2 recently taken colored ID pictures
  • Result of Admission Test - original copy and 3 photocopies
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character - original copy and 3 photocopies
  • Long size Kraft envelope
  • Certification from high school principal that student belongs to the upper 40% of graduating class (for AHSE)

 

For Transferees:

  • Certificate of Transfer Credential / Honorable Dismissal (original copy and 3 photocopies)
  • Transcript of Records for evaluation purposes (Original copy and photocopy)
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character (original copy and 2 photocopies)
  • Result of Admission Test  (original copy and 3 photocopies)
  • 3 pieces 2 x 2 recently taken colored ID pictures

 

Validation/Crediting of subjects taken outside of NDU by a transferee is made only when the subject:

  • is a non-major subject
  • has the same descriptive title/contents as the subject contained in the curriculum of the NDU program.
  • has units equal to or higher than the required units.
  • satisfies pre-requisite requirement of the NDU curriculum.
